Lubny is a city in Poltava oblast (province), Ukraine. Lubny is a port on the Sula River. Though the city was not incorporated until 1783, settlement there dates back to the 12th century. The city's industries include textiles, clothing, furniture, and construction industries. There are a technical college for agriculture and forestry, a medical school, and a local museum. Pop. (1991 est.) 60,300.
